A REDDITCH business has donated over 200 Christmas presents to a children’s charity.
Shield Total Insurance has joined Cash for Kids to ensure every child wakes up with a gift this Christmas.
The team managed to raise £200 from fund-raising events including ‘pie a manger in the face’, a Christmas jumper day, Christmas quiz and a silent auction.
They visited the B&M in the town to donate the gifts.
Amie Gardiner from Shield Total Insurance said: “A notable thanks must go to The Entertainer in Redditch which donated a gift voucher to buy gifts, Redditch Vue which donated cinema tickets as a prize, and Junior Qadeer who helped spread the word and donated cash.
“Ex-mayor of Redditch Ann Isherwood has also helped get the word out.
“We took all cash raised to spend in store to buy more gifts to bring our total to over 200 gifts for Cash For kids Mission Christmas.
“With the incredible offers B&M have on their toys it really helped the money go as far as possible.
“The staff at B&M Redditch where very helpful and friendly so just wanted to say a big thank you to them helping us.
“We have been blown away with the support of the community with donations and helping raise awareness for the campaign.
A spokesperson for Cash for Kids said: “Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.
“We believe all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
“We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.”
