REDDITCH History society will be taking a well earned break from meetings in January.
They will be back with a new series of illustrated talks in February, kicking off with a talk from Henrietta Lockhart, about the plants preserved in the University Herbarium at Winterbourne.
The society’s secretary Anthony Green said 2023 had been the most successful year for the group.
“We finished the year on a high; a good speaker, a good audience and the society looking very healthy.
“Our membership now stands at 68, which is a record level for the society.
“From all of us at the History Society we would like to wish you happy new year.”
The membership cost increases to £20 per year from April 2024, there will be a corresponding half-year charge to £10 and entry for visitors for individual meetings will be £4.
