Redditch Editorial 9th Feb, 2024   0

REDDITCH History Society is back after a short break with a new year of illustrated talks on February 12.

The first speaker will be Henrietta Lockhart, curator of the Museums Collections at the University of Birmingham, based at Winterbourne House and garden, a unique heritage attraction.

She will talk about ‘Plants Preserved for Ever: Tales from the University Herbarium’.

The Herbarium contains plant specimens dating from the early 19th Century to the 1970s.

The History Society meets at the Oasis Christian Centre at 4 Plymouth Road, Redditch, opposite the bus and railway stations, from 2pm to 4pm on the second Monday of each month.

Non-members are welcome for a £4 entrance fee and refreshments are available after the talk.
