Redditch farm wins Large Visitor Attraction of the Year

A REDDITCH children’s farm has won Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards.

Attwell Farm Park previously won the same award in the small visitor attraction category, but has since expanded.

The county’s tourism sector was celebrated on March 15 at a black-tie event at Ombersley Court.

Over 60 finalists were shortlisted by industry-expert judges, with 14 winners recognised for their excellence and contribution to the Worcestershire visitor economy.

Winners will now be put forward to the VisitEngland Awards of Excellence, in the hope of being named a national finalist after going through an additional judging process led by a VisitEngland panel.

An Attwell Farm Park spokesperson said: “Winning this year fills us with overwhelming joy and gratitude as this was a tough category filled with the best of the best.

“A massive thank you to all our supporters and visitors who have been with us throughout the years.

“Your unwavering support means everything to us.”

The event also raised vital funds for local charity, St Richard’s Hospice, with a prize draw raffle filled with Worcestershire prizes.

More than £3,326 was raised to support the work of St Richard’s in the local community ahead of the charity’s new summer Waddle of Worcester art trail.

Entries for next year’s awards will be open April.
