'Report number plate theft' - police warn drivers after incident in Redditch

Redditch Editorial 24th May, 2024   0

DRIVERS who have their number plates stolen are being urged to report the theft.

It follows an incident in Matchborough, Redditch.

Thieves often use the registration plates to commit crime, for example bilking – filling a vehicle with fuel and leaving without paying – meaning the wrong car or van could be picked up on CCTV.

Anyone who has a number plate stolen or information on registration plate thefts should report it by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
