REDDITCH PRIDE 2024 will be returning to the town centre this Saturday, June 8, with its colourful mix of family entertainment and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

The event, organised by volunteers, will start with a parade at the Town Hall outside the Palace Theatre at 11am.

The procession will then  which continue through the Kingfisher Centre and onto Church Green.

There will be live music and entertainment outside St Stephen’s Church and lots to see and do with community stalls, drag acts, street entertainers, food stalls, stilt walkers and much more.

A Redditch PRIDE spokesperson said: “We are hoping that this year’s PRIDE is going to be bigger and better than last year and would like to thank everyone who has volunteered to help make this event happen.

“This is a free family friendly event and everyone is welcome.”

The Railway Inn and Popworld and Zinc will both be hosting official after parties.

Redditch Borough Council leader, Coun Joe Baker, added: “PRIDE is an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate our town’s diversity. Redditch is a great town and we have so much to offer, this is an opportunity for everyone to see it at its best.”

Redditch’s first Pride parade took place last June and was hailed a success, with more than 1,000 people attending the event.

June is Pride month – a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities all around the world.
