EXTRA police officers will be outside the Park Inn pub in Redditch tonight (Friday), a week after a person was stabbed.
The officers will be in the car park of the Southcrest Evangelical Church, Plymouth Road, from 6pm to 8pm to provide reassurance and so members of the public can come and discuss any concerns with them.
Insp Richard Field, of the Redditch Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I know that this incident caused a lot of concern locally and, although we’ve reassured you through our messages on social media, nothing beats speaking to an officer face-to-face.
“That’s why we’ve arranged for officers to be at the church tonight to so that you can pop down and discuss any concerns with them.
“It will also be a good opportunity to discuss any information you may have that would help with our enquiries into what happened that evening.”
Following the incident, two men, aged 35 and 19 and one boy, aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
They remain on bail whilst the investigation continues.
