FUTURE Olympians proved they were worthy of a gold medal at the KS2 District athletics.
Pupils from St Bede’s put their skills to the test at the event and saw many of the leaving with medals around their necks and paving the way for the school’s year five boys and girls win overall along with the boys.
The year six girls were pipped to post by four points to making it a full house and finished in second overall.
Andy Gallinagh, head of boys’ PE at the school, said: “All of our pupils gave it their best and were a pleasure throughout the afternoon.”
