STAFF from Specsavers in Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre enjoyed a special day on August 14, marking the 31st birthday of their store.

The event, which featured face painting stands, cake, a tombola, lucky dip and a colouring competition, raised £784 for the Sandycroft Centre.

Local businesses kindly donated prizes for the tombola, with hampers, toys and books provided by Coffee #1, Baby Unicorn, Clintons and WHSmith.

Store director, James Worton, said: “It was a great opportunity to thank our customers for their support over the past three decades and to celebrate the tremendous work our team does.

“We really appreciate being part of a community here, and raising funds for the Sandycroft Centre was a chance for us to give back.

“Thanks to everyone who helped us to reach our amazing fundraising total.”

Situated in Smallwood, the Sandycroft Centre supports victims of domestic abuse, offering a wide range of services to its community.
