REDDITCH History Society continues its season of local and national history talks with a presentation on Redditch Railway Line this Monday, October 14, at the Oasis Christian Centre.
This month’s guest speaker is Philip Jarvis, a member of the society and a local historian who is the acknowledged authority on all aspects of the Birmingham Gloucester Railway Loop, including the Redditch section.
Philip will give an illustrated presentation, with many pictures of the stations and the line – especially in the 1950s and 1960s – which he hopes will provoke nostalgic memories at the meeting.
Redditch History Society meets at the Oasis Christian Centre from 2pm to 4pm on the second Monday of each month except August.
Non-members are always welcome to talks which cost £4 per session. Refreshments are also available.
