Redditch primary school shines in recent Ofsted inspection

A REDDITCH school is celebrating after being awarded an outstanding Ofsted inspection.

St Thomas More Catholic First School, a member of the Our Lady of the Magnificat Multi-Academy Company, received the top grade for both Personal Development and Early Years Provision.

It  also achieved good ratings in Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, and Leadership and Management.

The Ofsted report highlights St Thomas More as a ‘welcoming and inclusive’ environment where pupils flourish.

Inspectors noted students were proud to attend the school, with a culture of respect and collaboration that encouraged positive behaviour and fostered a calm, focused atmosphere.

Principal Anna-Marie Rooney said: “We are delighted with the recognition for the incredible journey we have been on as a school.

“Over the last few years, we have implemented many changes that reflect the St Thomas More of today.

“This was truly our chance to shine.

“I am deeply grateful to the children, staff, parents and the wider community who have supported us every step of the way.

“Whether they’ve been with us from the start or joined along the way, I am thankful to each and every one of them.

“St Thomas More is an amazing place to be a child, and we are excited about the future.”
