PROPERTY experts have outlined the most and least affordable streets in Redditch borough.
The research, carried out by GB Concrete and Pump – gbconcreteandpump.co.uk – shows some of the most affordable homes selling below £100,000 while, on some of the most expensive streets, they are valued at more than £600,000.
The data was gleaned from the HM Land Registry, focusing on all property sales in Redditch between January 2020 and December 2024.
According the list, Unicorn Hill, just outside the town centre is the most affordable with an average £82,583 of the six properties sold there.
Next up in South Street where, again from six properties sold, the average price was £97,000.
Homes in Southcrest Gardens averaged at £102,400 (of 20 properties sold) and not too much more was Hawkesbury Close – an average of £103,000.
Properties in Glover Street averaged £105,000 (eight were sold there) and Winforton Close (from 18 properties) averaged at £106,861.
Making up the rest of the top ten was Mount Pleasant (average – £109,300), Glendale Terrace (£111,900), High Trees Close (£113,800) and Hewell Road (£116,104).
At the other end of the market, the most expensive homes were in Icknield Street – there five properties were sold, averaging out at £616,500 each.
Hither Green Lane was next, ranging from £599,375 in one part to £611,091 in another.
Next was Crumpfields Lane with an average price of £588,188 (of eight properties sold) and then Salt Way where homes averaged £571,167.
