A REDDITCH care home resident has written a heartfelt and inspiring autobiography, documenting his remarkable life spanning nearly a century.
The book, which covers Brian Foster’s life from his birth in November 1927 to his retirement, offers an insight into his experiences, from childhood through to his later years, including the love he shared with his late wife, Mary.
Brian also recalls his memories of the war which broke out when he was 12 years old.
And the book also touches on Brian’s career at the Heywood Compressor Co LTD, his hobbies, and the many friendships he made over the years.
Brian said: “I wanted to write it for my family and for myself and so I can share my memories.
“I must admit, choosing what to put in was much harder than I thought.”
Lyndsay Sard, the home manager at Millcroft, added: “Brian has worked so hard writing down his memories and they are such a pleasure to read.
“The autobiography not only celebrates his own journey but serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving personal stories and memories.”
