REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore visited the Batchley Support Group to meet with the team and celebrate the essential work it did to support people in the town.

Batchley Support Group, an independent community organisation and registered charity, provides vital services such as food distribution, mental health support, and outreach for vulnerable residents.

During the visit, Mr Bloore met with Mark Barron and the dedicated team members to discuss the group’s schemes and learn more about the challenges facing the community.

He said: “It was an honour to meet the incredible team at the Batchley Support Group.

“Their tireless efforts to support families, provide essential services, and build a sense of community are truly inspiring.

“Community groups like this are the backbone of our society.

“I am committed to championing their needs in Parliament to ensure they have the funding and resources to continue making a difference.”

The visit is part of Mr Bloore’s ongoing work to engage with community groups across Redditch and the Villages.

Earlier this month, he raised concerns about local healthcare at Prime Minister’s Questions, highlighting the closure of paediatric services at the Alexandra Hospital.

He added: “Supporting grassroots organisations like the Batchley Support Group is essential for building stronger, healthier communities.

“I look forward to continuing to work with them and other groups to ensure every family in Redditch has access to the support they need.”
