Love is in the air at Alcester care home

AN ALCESTER care home was filled with love last week when staff and residents celebrated St Valentine’s Day.

Older people at Cherry Trees celebrated the day of love by sharing their years of wisdom for a healthy relationship.

General manager, Debbie Osborne, said: “We’ve all had a lovely day decorating the home and feeling the love.

“Lots of our residents were able to see their loved ones either in person or via video call. We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine’s themed fun and we have enjoyed every moment of it.”

Shirley Larkin, a resident at Cherry Trees, said: “It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get involved with the day’s festivities.

“I really liked hearing the advice from the other residents, and we really did have a good giggle about some of it.”
