IT WILL be full steam ahead for the Redditch Model Railway Show next month.
Rather than the normal September date, Redditch Model Railway Club will be staging its 52nd Model Railway Exhibition on March 1 and 2 at Trinity High School, Grove Street, in Redditch town centre.
More than 30 stands will be on display including high quality layouts of different sized model railways in gauges from N to O from all over the country.
Layouts on show will include the club’s award-winning exhibition layout Oakenshaw which took over five years to build as well as Burlish Road, Bere Banks, City Basin Goods and Copper Wort.
Exhibition manager Guy Craddock said: “This will be the 52nd Redditch Model Railway Exhibition and it has come a long way since the first in 1967. Every year the event is proving to be more and more popular with visitors who travel from all over the country to the event.
“This is my 40th show I have organised for the club and with the change of date to March last year should to help make the event another winner with our visitors.”
The opening times are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 4.30pm on Sunday.
Under 16s can attend the event for free, with tickets priced at £6.
