THE PREMIER League Kit Scheme gifted a Redditch school a football kit at the Valley Stadium during the Bromsgrove Sporting and Redditch United derby.
Girls from Birchensale Middle School were awarded the kit at half time for all of the work the school does to encourage more young girls to participate in football.
The scheme is open to all primary schools in England and Wales and teachers across the country have been able to apply for Nike football kit for their girls teams.
They aim to increase opportunities for girls to play with the expectation that schools applying for kit already offer or will start to offer girls’ extra-curricular football.
A spokesperson for Redditch United said: “We’d like to thank the Premier League for gifting the kit, as well as bringing down the prestigious Premier League trophy for people to have their photos with.”
