Bus service pulled from Redditch's Woodrow centre after drivers face abuse

DIAMOND Buses have pulled the service at Woodrow Centre after drivers and buses were subject to abuse.

Drivers reported stones and liquid being thrown at the vehicles, as well as graffiti and buses being kicked.

Police advised Diamond Buses to divert the 5pm service via Auxerre Avenue, Woodrow, Woodrow Drive then back to normal line of route.

A spokesperson said: “We will not be serving will be Woodrow Centre, Frederick Eary House and Studley Road Island stop.

“We apologise for the inconvenience, but the safety of our drivers and passengers is of upmost importance in this decision.

“We will update when services are able to return to normal.”
