Almost 100 families turn up to health and wellness event at Redditch's Windmill Community Centre

A REDDITCH health business has hosted a successful health and wellness event at the Windmill Community Centre, which brought together nearly 100 families from across the community.

The event featured stalls from key health and support organisations including Macmillan Cancer Support, Healthwatch Worcestershire and Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group.

A mobile health unit was also on site to provide free health checks for attendees.

Redditch MP Chris Bloore attended the event, and praised the range of health workers available.

He said: “I want to thank the Kerala Cultural Association for inviting me to their fantastic Health and Wellness event and for creating such a valuable day for our community. It was inspiring to see so many families come together to access free health checks, resources and advice from leading health organisations.

“Events like these play a crucial role in raising awareness, encouraging early detection and helping people take positive steps to look after their health. I’m grateful to all the organisations, volunteers and community members who worked so hard to make the day a success.”

The Kerala Cultural Association Redditch is known for organising cultural, educational and wellbeing initiatives throughout the year, fostering stronger community connections and improving access to important services for residents.
