WILLOW Trees Community Centre in Redditch has honoured its long-serving staff member Sue Broughton who has been there for the past 40 years.
In tribute to her dedication, a room at the popular centre in Church Hill has been renamed the ‘Broughton Suite’.
Sue joined YMCA Worcestershire, which runs the Willow Trees Community Centre, in 1985 and, in that time, she has taken on a number of roles.
A special plaque was unveiled in the ‘Broughton Suite’ in honour of Sue’s commitment to the cause.
Kellie Dean, YMCA Worcestershire’s community development manager, said: “Over the time she has been here, Suet has bocame a pillar of the Church Hill Community, running the Willow Trees Centre.
“It’s truly an honour for all of us to work alongside Sue.
“Her tireless dedication and compassionate spirit have helped shape services across YMCA Worcestershire and more recently Willow Trees into the heart of the Church Hill community it is today – and for that, we are endlessly grateful.
“Thank you, Sue.
“Here’s to your legacy and everything you’ve built with us over the past four decades.”
