VOLUNTARY and community groups across Redditch are invited to bid for up to £10k of the council’s £100K pot of grant funding for 2026.
Anyone interested in applying can bid for funding from £500 up to £10K, to help with core costs and salaries, or to support them to deliver great community events, projects and activities.
The applications have been broken down into two categories, between £500 and £2,000 and then £2,001 and £10,000.
Redditch council are running the scheme earlier than usual – it normally opens in January – as the larger applications are now to be considered by a Panel of Councillors.
This was agreed at an Executive Committee meeting in September and brings additional transparency to the process.
The application process opened on Saturday (November 1) and runs until 4pm on Friday November 21 2025.
Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Coun Sharon Harvey, said: “As a council we are committed to supporting voluntary community sector organisations to deliver events, projects, and activities that have a positive and beneficial impact on Redditch and its residents.”
There is set criteria in place that anyone wishing to apply must meet. Each proposed project must be needed in the area, well planned, outcome focussed and aligned to the council’s Strategic Purposes.
