Redditch MP Chris Bloore launches Christmas card competition

REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore has officially launched his 2025 Christmas Card Competition, inviting schoolchildren from across the town to design his official parliamentary Christmas card.

This year’s theme, ‘Christmas in Redditch’, encourages pupils to create festive designs that also highlight what they love most about their community – from local landmarks and neighbourhood traditions to family and community spirit.

Mr Bloore said: “It’s one of my favourite traditions of the year and I’m so excited to see the creativity and imagination of local pupils once again.

“The theme, ‘Christmas in Redditch’, is all about celebrating the people, places and community spirit that make our town and villages such special places to live.

“Every year I’m blown away by the talent of local children and I can’t wait to see how they choose to showcase what they love most about where they live.”

Every child who takes part will receive a personalised certificate from Mr Bloore thanking them for their hard work and creativity.

The winning design will be featured on his official 2025 Christmas card, which will be sent to community leaders, local organisations and fellow MPs across the country.

Prizes for the winner and runners-up have been kindly donated by local businesses and community organisations.

To take part, children should design their card on A5 paper, ensuring the design is both festive and inspired by something they love about Redditch or their local village.

Each entry must include the child’s name, age and school and entries must be submitted by Wednesday November 20 2025 and can be posted to Chris Bloore MP House of Commons London SW1A 0AA.

They can also be  collected, schools can email [email protected] to arrange collection by a member of his team.

Mr Bloore added: “This competition is a wonderful way for children to show their creativity and pride in their communities. It’s also a lovely reminder, at this time of year, of how much we have to celebrate in Redditch and the Villages.

“I’d love to see as many pupils as possible take part – I can’t wait to see the fantastic designs they come up with.”
