STORM Claudia did not stop a coffee morning at Church House in Alcester from being well supported on Saturday November 15.
The festive fundraiser in aid of St Nicholas’ Church served up lashings of hot tea and tasty bakes to brighten spirits and ward off the inclement weather.
Attendees got to browse a number of stalls including homemade preserves, crafts and cakes and of course a raffle.

Organiser Maggie Payne said: “There was a lovely atmosphere and we raised more than £700 towards church funds.”
St Nicholas’ Church stands at the top of High Street and dates from the 14th Century.
Since 1984 a campaign of fundraising by the community has enabled it to undergo extensive repairs to its tower, stonework, roof and tiled floor.
