AS THE twinkling lights brighten our streets and the sound of excited children and carols fills the air, I want to take a moment to reflect on what makes this festive season so special.
Christmas is not only a time of celebration, but also a reminder of the strength and support we find in one another.
During my time as mayor, I have seen countless examples of kindness across our town – from volunteers supporting local charities, to neighbours checking in on one another, to families opening their doors to welcome others and share happiness.
These acts of generosity embody the true spirit of Christmas in Alcester.
Let us carry that spirit forward into 2026.
Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a smile, or simply spending time together, every gesture strengthens the bonds that unite us.
Together, we make our community not just a place to live, but a place to belong.
On behalf of Alcester Town Council, Lesley and I wish you and your loved ones peace, joy, and good health this Christmas and into the New Year.
May we continue to build a community rooted in compassion, resilience, and togetherness.
