AVIAN flu has been found at Arrow Valley park in Redditch as swans and geese have been found unwell or dead.
Redditch Borough Council issued a warning on their social media channels on Tuesday (January 13) and said they are monitoring the situation carefully.
The said: “Please don’t touch or pick up any sick or dead wild birds. This helps protect both people and other wildlife. Stick to paths and keep dogs on leads.
“And do not feed the birds to stop them gathering and the virus spreading.
If a member of the public finds an injured, unwell or dead bird the council have advised residents to report it [email protected] and they will report it to DEFRA.
