A REDDITCH church has performed its latest pantomime to the participants of St Peter’s Pantry.
The show they staged was Snow White with an interesting twist to the story, performed at St Peters Church in Ipsley.
The production followed the same plot of the traditional fairytale, but in this case there were eight dwarfs.
Vera Stanhope, a character in the well-known detective series of the same name, asked the audience for its help in finding the missing dwarf.
Snow White, played by John, escaped to the Dwarfs’ Cottage but was confused as there was eight of everything there.
The unexpected ending discovered Hoppy the dwarf was disabled from birth and was therefore unable to go down the mine.
The dwarfs were played by Paul, Sarah, Michael Jackie, Stephen and the two Daves. Dwarf number eight, played by Kerry, was wheeled in by his carer Dawn.
A final reflection given by Rhoda Lingard – the writer – which reminded the audience we are all different.
