Matchborough First School Academy celebrates the future with Central Region Schools Trust

MATCHBOROUGH First School Academy in Redditch has joined Central Region Schools Trust.

Central Region Schools Trust is a family of 14 schools across Worcestershire, Sandwell and Birmingham.

The Trust now supports eight schools serving the Redditch community, making it one of the town’s largest education providers.

Matchborough First School joins other trust schools within the well-established ‘Arrow Vale Pyramid’.

Principal of Matchborough First School, Lynn Briers, said: “Joining Central Region Schools Trust is a positive and exciting development for Matchborough First School Academy.

“Becoming part of a trust with such a strong track record, particularly within Redditch, gives us access to shared expertise, support and opportunities that will directly benefit our pupils.

“The trust’s clear commitment to collaboration, strong pastoral care and high expectations aligns closely with our values as a school.

“We are proud to join a group of schools that work together so effectively to support children throughout their education.”

Guy Shears, chief executive officer of Central Region Schools Trust, said: “Welcoming Matchborough First School Academy into Central Region Schools Trust is an important step for the school and for the wider Redditch community.

“As a trust, it further strengthens the all-through journey we have built, ensuring children benefit from a consistent approach to learning and pastoral support from the age of three right through to 18.

“Our vision is rooted in social justice through exceptional schools.

“By working together across the different phases in Redditch, we are able to provide stability, high expectations and strong support for pupils, regardless of their starting point.

“We are proud of the strength of our schools and excited to work alongside Lynn and the Matchborough team to continue delivering high-quality education for local families.”
