ALNE Wood Park Natural Burial Ground in Alcester has been named Regional Winner for the West Midlands in The People’s Award by the Association of Natural Burial Grounds (ANBG) – for the second year in a row.
The People’s Award holds particular significance as it is voted for by families and recognises not only sustainability and facilities, but the compassion, personal care and lasting impact provided by burial ground teams.
The award celebrates those who go above and beyond to support families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Carl Masters, Alne Wood Park co-ordinator, said “We are incredibly proud to receive this award for a second consecutive year.
“It means so much because it comes from the families who have trusted us to care for their loved ones.
“Their support and kind words are truly humbling.”
The burial ground is part of a 40-acre site which is owned by the Heart of England Forest, a charity that is creating and conserving native broadleaf woodland in the Midlands.
