A MAN was arrested after a drugs warrants was executed in Redditch yesterday morning.
Officers from the Proactive CID team targeted an address in Prospect Road North working on intelligence gathered around illegal drugs supply in the area.
A search of the house found bladed weapons which were seized.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the conveyance of prohibited articles, money laundering and possession with intent to supply a class C controlled drug – steroids.
The man has been released on bailed as enquiries continue.
Det Sgt Kirsty Hill said: “Yesterday morning we successfully executed a drugs warrant following intelligence work around the illegal supply of drugs in the Redditch area.
“A man was arrested and bailed, an investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
“Yesterday’s actions have disrupted drug supply in north Worcestershire and taken weapons off the streets.”
