THREE men were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing following a warrant executed in Redditch on Friday.
Officers from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), supported by Task Force and a dog handler with PD Thor, targeted a property in Guinness Close in Oakenshaw, acting on intelligence around the suspected illegal supply of drugs in the town.
Three men were in the address along with a quantity of cannabis, some of which was prepped ready for sale, scales and other drug paraphernalia, along with cash, and a Samurai-type sword all of which were seized by police.
Three men aged 39, 42 and 18 were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis with intent to supply and taken into custody.
They were later released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
PC James Roberts of Redditch SNT said: “On Friday, we executed a drugs warrant acting on information around the suspected sale of illegal drugs in the town.
“We arrested three men on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis with intent to supply who have since been released under investigation.
“A quantity of drugs and weapons were seized and enquiries are ongoing.
“We hope Friday’s actions show the public we are always looking out for anyone seeking to deal drugs in our communities as the harm their sale causes is well known.”
