TODAY is set to be the hottest day of the year so far in Redditch, Alcester and Studley.
According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, the mercury could soar to 23°C.
The average temperature in Redditch and the surrounding areas for April is usually around 13°C.
With today 10°C higher and the Easter school holidays in full swing, people are expected to be enjoying the sunshine.
The town is set to bask in full sun from 7am to 4pm before it clouds over. And temperatures are predicted to be at least 22°C for most of the day.
