FAMILIES across Worcestershire have found out today which primary, first or middle school their children will be starting this September.
More than 98 per cent of the county’s youngest pupils have received an offer from one of their top three school preferences, with nearly 94 per cent being offered a place at their first choice primary or first school, marking an important milestone in their education journey.
This year, Worcestershire County Council received 5,693 applications for primary and first schools, alongside 2,397 applications for middle schools.
All families who applied for a primary, first or middle school have received an offer.
Sarah Wilkins, Assistant Director for Education at Worcestershire County Council, said: “Starting school is a significant milestone for children and families, and today marks an exciting step forward for many across Worcestershire.
“We’re pleased to see so many families receiving an offer at one of their preferred schools, and our team remains committed to making the admissions process as clear, fair and supportive as possible as children begin their education journey.”
Parents and carers can view their child’s school place offer by logging into their online school admissions account. An email has also been sent confirming the outcome.
Parents of children starting middle school who wish to explore transport options for September can find further information at: www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooltravel.
Families are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
