A MAN from Tipton has been sentenced at Worcester Crown Court for drug supply in Redditch and being found with a machete.
Romeo Haines, 19 of Tame Road, was sentenced to two years and nine months yesterday after pleading guilty to multiple offences, including possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
The charges relate to an incident on 23 September 2025, when officers from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted an address check at a property on Salters Lane in Redditch.
Upon entering the property, officers located Haines inside the living room.
He was found in possession of a significant quantity of suspected class A drugs, later confirmed to be crack cocaine and heroin.
Officers also recovered a quantity of cannabis, approximately £400 in cash, and two mobile phones.
During the search, officers discovered a machete concealed in Haines’ waistband.
Det Con Michael Vince from Proactive CID said: “This case highlights our continued efforts to tackle drug supply and the possession of dangerous weapons within our communities.
“The recovery of a machete in these circumstances is particularly concerning, and we remain committed to removing both drugs and weapons from our streets.”
