A FREE programme of summer events has launched across Redditch and Bromsgrove, encouraging families to make the most of their summer holidays
Returning for 2026, Summer Fun is a six-week programme of free activities designed to help children, young people, and families stay active, learn new skills, and boost their wellbeing in the great outdoors.
In Redditch, Arrow Valley Country Park and Morton Stanley Park come alive with six weeks of free activities and opportunities.
Visitors to Arrow Valley Country Park can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including Glamba Drumming workshops, visits from Punch and Judy, and a chance to see the National Travelling History Museum among many other things.
Morton Stanley is becoming host to the Pirate Treasure Hunt for the duration of the six weeks and hosting a range of activities including Kaos Circus, hula hoops and bubbles, and Harlequins Orienteering’s String Maze.
The first activities start in July 22 and run until August 27.
In Bromsgrove, activities start on July 21 and take place every Monday through Thursday until August 27 at Sanders Park.
The programme is similar to the Redditch one – free outdoor events which cater for all ages and interests.
Among the activities on offer are tennis coaching, freestyle football, science workshops, theatre performances, circus skills and much more.
Redditch Borough Council leader, Coun Matt Dormer, said: “Summer Fun gives families across Redditch a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, make memories and enjoy everything our parks have to offer during the school holidays.”
