IT WAS the icing on the cake for school pupils who won this year’s design a Christmas cupcake competition.
Students from all year groups at St Bede’s Middle School fired up their ovens to create the festive treats.
A total of four winners were picked by staff and they were presented with a box of cupcakes featuring their designs, while cakes were also sold at lunch time. The winners were Thomas McAuliffe, Brooke Teague, Jeevan Stanly and Lauren Bough.
