A MAN who pushed his body to the limit by tackling a gruelling 10km obstacle course has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
Martin Carver’s feat was even more remarkable given he completed the Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest event around the streets of Cardiff in a full nuclear, chemical and biological suit.
As a result of the efforts of the former paratooper and Abbey Stadium fitness instructor, more than £700 was handed over to SSAFA, which supports the families of soldiers, sailors and airmen and is one of the oldest military charities in the country.
