AN INTRICATE pumpkin showing two faces in one was crowned the winner in a creative carving competition.

Alcester resident Emily McDonald took the prize from the contest run by Hillers Farm Shop after fending off competition from 24 others with her entry Alter Ego.

The 12-year-old St Benedict’s pupil won £200 to spend at the shop after being chosen by judges including garden designer Hannah Genders as the winner.

She said: “I was so excited to hear the news. I’m really, really pleased, I’ve never won anything like this before and I’m looking forward to spending my prize with my family at Christmas.”
