THE TOWN’S MP discussed local and national issues with residents as part of a street surgery.
Karen Lumley met shoppers in the town centre to talk about any problems they had as well as answering on the spot questions.
From 11.30am until 1.30pm last Friday (March 6) she also asked constituents to complete a survey about her work as an MP at the town’s market.
She said she was pleased so many constituents braved the cold to come and see her.
“It was particularly good to speak to some constituents that I have helped in the past – one of whom visited me a while back with some real problems but has now thankfully got her life back on track.
“Staying in touch with local people is very important to me and the street surgery was a great way to do this.”
