A GROUP of burlesque dancers were abandoned in Milton Keynes and had to make their way back to the borough by hitch hiking.

But the stunt was part of Capital FM’s Run For Home competition where people had to race against the clock to find their way back from a mystery location.

The team, known as The Hamptons, included Emma Greaves, Louise Hodson, Denise Reynolds and Karen Perumal.

They were taken to a secret spot dressed in burlesque costume along with coach loads of others.

Once there Heart presenter Matt Jarvis set them loose on the public and they had to use their wit, charm and fancy dress to find the quickest and most imaginative route home.

Although they were not the first to cross the finish line they won the highest fund-raising award after securing £2,500 for Global’s Make Some Noise.

The charity helps disadvantaged children and young people across the UK through grant funded projects.
