GREEN fingered friends will be turning their attention from carrots to coffee in a bid to raise money for charity.
Dee Elwell and others at Greenlands Allotment on Throckmorton Road are set to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, hosting their event from 11am to 3pm on Friday, September 26.
Dee said: “We’ve all been touched by cancer at some point in our lives, it feels right to do what we can as a community to help people going through such a difficult time.
“All are welcome to our Macmillan coffee morning, if you haven’t been to the allotments before, come along and enjoy the experience.”
