SANTA will be taking to the streets of Redditch, Alcester and for the first time Studley to raise money for charity.
Redditch Round Table began its tour of the borough in Church Hill North yesterday (Thursday) and will be taking Santa’s sleigh to Brockhill tonight before moving to Webheath and Headless Cross tomorrow (Saturday) and Headless Cross again on Sunday (December 14).
They will then be out in Brockhill again on Monday (December 15) Astwood Bank the following day, Oakenshaw South on Thursday (December 18) and then Hunt and Walkwood, Crabbs Cross the next two nights before returning to Webheath next Sunday (December 21).
Round Table members will be out from 5.30pm weekdays and 4.30pm on weekends, supported by volunteers from a different club or cause every night as well as Kingfisher Redditch Ladies Circle. All money donated will go towards helping good causes in and around Redditch.
Alcester and Stratford District Round Table will also be collecting with the help of Redditch Ladies Circle and Listers Honda Stratford, which has donated a Honda CRV with Christmas reindeer wrap to two Santa around the streets.
The group will be touring various streets around Alcester between Tuesday, December 16 and Sunday, December 21, starting at 6.15pm in the week and 4.30pm at the weekend.
In Studley Santa’s float will be visiting roads including St Jude’s Avenue, St Martin’s Avenue and Lansdown Road on Monday, December 22.
Richard Handy, chairman of Alcester and Stratford District Round Table, said: “Seeing thousands of children’s faces light up seeing Santa on the routes is wonderful and anyone making a donation will be helping to make a difference to a charity or good cause in their community.”
