POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Redditch.
The incident occurred on Sunday, April 19 between 6pm and 9pm when the victim, a girl in her late teens, and the suspect, who is known to her, were walking from Batchley to Old Forge Drive.
It is believed the suspect pushed the victim into a thorn bush, and then pulled at her clothing as she tried to walk away. He then pinned her against a fence near Old Forge Drive and punched her repeatedly to her face, arms and body.
A 24 year-old man from Redditch has been arrested in connection with the incident, and released on bail until Wednesday, June 3.
