THE Lib Dems have suffered a stunning double blow in Studley with both their Stratford district councillors losing out to the Conservatives in the local elections.
In Studley with Mappleborough Green long-serving councillor for Studley Hazel Wright has lost her seat to Mappleborough-based Tory Justin Kerridge while in Studley with Sambourne Paul Beaman fell to the Conservatives’ Nick Moon.
Boundary changes in Stratford had pitted sthe standing councillors against each other as the council reduced its numbers to 36 members.
For the much-loved Mrs Wright who last time out under the old boundaries won over 1,000 votes, it’s a stunning turnaround in fortune.
