STUDENTS from Studley found out more about the famous girl who shed light on the horrors of Nazi invasion.

Studley High School pupils took part in a special fortnight where they learnt about Anne Frank and the Holocaust after being approached by the Anne Frank Trust UK.

As part of the project a temporary exhibition was installed in the main corridor, while Holocaust survivor Mindu Hornick visited to talk about her time as an Auschwitz.

More than 20 Year 9 pupils were also trained as peer guides to take other students, parents and staff round the display and they will now have the chance to become Anne Frank Ambassadors and guide visitors at the Trust’s flagship exhibition at Millennium Point in Birmingham.

Miss Chauhan, head of history, said: “I am immensely proud of our peer guides’ achievements. Not only have they gained in-depth knowledge of the story of Anne Frank, but have also improved their literacy skills and boosted their confidence.

“They have thoroughly enjoyed the project and have delivered the content in a mature and engaging fashion.”
