A CHURCH Hill youngster has been caught attempting to start fires in the area with a lighter.
Police community support officers were on patrol when they spotted the young person using the lighter to set fire to some rubbish.
Following the identification of the youngster, officers paid a visit to the parents in question who were reportedly shocked but grateful for the quick intervention.
A referral has been made to Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.
