AN ORGANIC extravaganza had crowds flocking to Stables Farm at Astwood Bank last weekend to celebrate the site’s long awaited organic accreditation.
In a celebration of the farm land and farm shop butchery officially becoming certified as ‘organic’, over 500 visitors enjoyed tours, tractor and trailer rides and local produce over Saturday and Sunday (September 26 and 27).
The farm’s new organic status ensures that no chemicals and artificial fertilisers are used on its land and crops whilst cows and sheep are kept to strict organic animal welfare standards – assuring customers of completely free range local beef and lamb.
The 120-acre site, which is also certified as ‘Wildlife Friendly’ by the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, includes a farm park visitor attraction and café serving home cooked meals.
