THE hard work and dedication to his studies by an Alcester Grammar School student has paid of after he was awarded a bursary by leading UK exam body OCR to help during his studies at Cambridge University.
Barney Fidler, along with nine others, was presented with the accolade last Friday (September 25) and will receive £3,000 every year during his time at Cambridge, where he will study natural sciences.
“I’m hugely excited to go to the University of Cambridge,” Barney said. “Having access to this financial support means I can get the most out of my time at university without the burden of debt being even greater.”
