DON’T open an email from Lancashire Police – that’s the warning from the Redditch police’s Safer Neighbourhood Team.
It comes after a resident in the West Mercia area reported receiving an email from Lancashire Police and staff member called Lyn Whitehead asking for final payment for services.
Lancashire Police have confirmed this is not genuine.
Local police strongly advise not to open email attachments or click on links sent from Lancashire Police.
