Concern raised over Studley parking fiasco

CONCERN has been raised over cars parking outside and opposite the Tesco store in Studley.

Members of the village’s parish council heard that often residents couldn’t get out of Needle Close because people were parking their cars to use the store and blocking the exit.

They also heard that buses often had to double park if shoppers had used the bus stop to park their vehicles, creating a further hazard for pedestrians, particularly schoolchildren.

“Kids are having to cross the A435 there twice a day so it’s a major safety issue as well,” said Councillor Brian Dixon.

Councillors agreed to write to the county council to get enforcement officers to patrol the area.
