It’s time to light the Lights of Love with the Primrose Hospice

THE PRIMROSE Hospice has launched its annual Lights of Love campaign which enables residents to remember a loved one by dedicating lights on the Christmas tree in the Kingfisher Centre in return for a donation to the Primrose.

Participants have the names of their chosen loved ones placed in remembrance books around the tree and at Redditch Crematorium for family and friends to visit throughout the festive season.

There will also be remembrance books at branches of Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors, from November 29.

There will also be a remembrance service at 2pm next Sunday (November 22) at St Stephen’s Church, Church Green.

As well as being an act of remembrance, the Lights of Love is a celebration of life and last year the campaign raised more than £24,000 for the hospice.

The Primrose, which supports patients with life-limiting illnesses, needs to raise £1.6million-a-year to offer its much-needed services free. The Lights of Love appeal is hugely successful in raising these crucial funds.

To support the Lights of Love, go to one of the Primrose Hospice’s charity shops or visit www.primrosehospice.org/lights or call 01527 889796.
